PortKey Manager was born out of a necessity to optimize a remote development workflow. As my local machine became bogged down by resource-heavy services and end-to-end testing, I migrated my workload to a high-spec remote server. However, managing multiple SSH tunnels for databases and microservices manually via the terminal became a significant friction point.
I built PortKey Manager to centralize these connections, allowing for one-click tunneling and a persistent, organized overview of active remote sessions.
✨ Key Features
- Connection Profiles: Save and categorize different remote environments (Dev, Staging, Database).
- One-Click Tunneling: Eliminate the need to keep multiple terminal windows open or remember complex SSH syntax.
- Visual Status Indicators: Quickly see which tunnels are active or dormant.
- Optimized Performance: Built with Rust to ensure minimal CPU and RAM usage while running in the background.
